For six years, the mission of the UASCRF and its affilliate in Uganda (Uganda Sickle Cell Rescue) have been rooted in the founding principles of the UASCRF to inform, inspire and mobilize Ugandans in particular and East Africans (Kenya, Tanzania) to support the principles and vital work of sensitizing and educating the masses about Sickle cell anemia and to strengthen both the patients and parents arming them with tools and information on how to care, treat and possible ways available to rid the patients of the sickle cell disease. We understand because we have walked that journey.
