UGANDA-AMERICAN SICKLE CELL RESCUE FUND

What We've Done

  • Kampala International University

We make an effort to educate students who are soon graduating into the medical field.

  • Presenting to students

The introductory presentation aims to sensitize students to the methodology of the care and treatment given to Sickle Cell Patients.

  • Leaders of Tomorrow

If tomorrow's leaders get to know or learn about the Sickle Cell disease, it's more probably going to lessen the stigmatization surrounding Sickle Cell Anemia.

  • Mengo Hospital Medics

Being an experienced nurse, Mrs. Mulumba Lukiah's presentations have been very fruitful since she speaks several local languages too.

  • Mengo Hospital Nurses

Our presentations and seminars are conducted in a manner that is engaging and entertaining too. To keep our participants attentive and credulous.

  • Mr. Mulumba's resources

Mr. Mulumba's personal experience as a parent with a once ailing sickle cell patient is an added resource to parents' questions and concerns.

  • Mulago Hospital Nurses

  • Mrs. Mulumba Lectured

The response had so far been positive since we started the seminars and presentations. We've received more requests from different hospitals.

  • Nsambya Hospital

Medical staff at Nsambya Hospital confided in us that they need more of these seminars and would like to connect and liaison with Hospitals in America.

  • Nsambya Hosp. Medics

Medical Staff including Doctors, physicians, nurses and technicians had already heard about our presentrations and they came in numbers.

  • Nsambya Presentation

Since we only had little room to make our presentations we left our a lot of people who couldn't fit. So we are planning a Conference in 2012.
